Copilot Checkout turns conversational product discovery into a trusted purchase flow while keeping merchants in control of the transaction.

As the sole designer, I led Copilot Checkout from experience direction through its shipped interaction model, partnering across AI, commerce and payments. The result is an AI-native path from product discovery to purchase that keeps the shopper in control and the merchant at the center.

## A checkout built for both sides

Copilot Checkout brings discovery, comparison and purchase into one conversation. Shoppers review the final product, price and order before buying, while merchants remain merchant of record and keep the customer relationship and commerce systems they already use.

## Built to scale through the commerce ecosystem

Launched publicly in January 2026, Copilot Checkout brought PayPal, Shopify and Stripe into one AI-native purchase surface. Merchants keep their existing commerce stack while reaching shoppers across Copilot, Bing, MSN and Edge—including customers of Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Ashley Furniture and independent Etsy sellers.
